CNET Australia - 5/28/2007 - has reviewed the Sony Ericsson W200i cell phone and writes, “Certainly, many consumers who end up with a W200i will do so on a plan, and as such pay very little for the phone itself. Within that model, it’s a capable enough basic phone with music an added extra. If you’re looking at it with an eye to buying it outright, however, we’d advise shopping around. Aside from the truly awful camera, there’s nothing terribly wrong with the W200i, but then there’s not too much that’s all that exciting. You are in effect paying a small premium for the Walkman branding, and in the ultra-competitive world of mobile phones brand alone isn’t enough to convince us that the W200i is worth purchasing outright.”

CNET.co.uk - 5/24/2007 - has reviewed the Sony Ericsson W200i cell phone and writes, “The W200i is definitely more functional than flash. The design is a tad dull and the joystick is fiddly, but it has excellent music features and is very easy to use.

Overall, we reckon it’s a decent bet for those looking for a cheap pay-as-you -go music phone, however if you can afford to spend around £70 more, the Sony Ericsson W810i comes with a reasonable 2-megapixel camera.”

TechDigest - 4/30/2007 - has reviewed the Sony Ericsson W200i cell phone and writes, “Free phones on contract are great - but if you’re not in a position to take one out you may find your handset choice more limited. If you’re shopping for a Pay As You Go phone, or need a replacement handset without any ties then the W200i is a reasonable option. It doesn’t have all the whizbang features you’ll find from the latest models, but with a price tag of around £60 on PAYG it’s considerably more affordable too.”
