PDA Street - 6/22/2007 - reviews the Palm Treo 755p cell phone and writes, ” Ultimately, the 755p isn’t the great leap forward many Palm devotees are waiting for because it doesn’t deliver any earth-shattering new features over it’s predecessor. Nevertheless, while the 755p probably won’t compel many upgrades from the 700p, it’s still a worthy successor to it.”

Phone Scoop - 5/24/2007 - reviews the Palm Treo 755p cell phone and writes, “Most faithful Palm users have already upgraded to a Treo 700p, and since the 755 does not have any new or even upgraded features, it’s unlikely this device is meant for them. Even if it was meant for current Palm users, it’s unlikely they would upgrade knowing that Palm will unveil new devices running a new Linux-based OS later this year.”

Mobile Tech Review - 5/22/2007 - tests the Palm Treo 755p cell phone and writes, “Another update to a already strong smartphone, the Treo 755p has a new look and new applications in store for long time Palm OS Treo users including yours truly. Even though there aren’t earth-shattering changes, the antenna-less form with its smooth new skin and stylish colors are welcome changes. The improved camera, excellent voice command software, newly added IM and Google Map are worth a look for Palm Treo veterans. If you are a Treo newbie and like Palm OS PDAs, this is the device for you. While we don’t see Treo 700p owners immediately upgrading to the Treo 755p, users of older Treos such as the Treo 650 should be enticed. And now you don’t have to switch to Cingular to get an antenna-less Treo!”

SlashGear - 5/13/2007 - reviews the Palm Treo 755p cell phone and writes, “The Treo 755p is still one of the best smartphones on the market offering high-speed Internet access, PIM, value added services and applications as well as a great balance of phone functions for casual to business users. I’m awarding the Treo 755p 4 ½ out of 5 gears as well as SlashGear’s Editor’s Choice.”

Bighthand - 5/13/2007 - reviews the Palm Treo 755p cell phone and writes, “When I first unboxed the 755p, I was mostly underwhelmed. I saw a similar device to my 680, and expected only that the faster EV-DO speeds would just make a small difference.

What I found, though, was that the having the increased speeds — and a battery that could keep up with it — made for a much more pleasant device.

While the 680 seems to be geared towards those who are just getting into the mobile lifestyle, the 755p seems to be for those who are in it and already know how they want to use their device.

The multimedia abilities and handy form factor lend to the 755p being usable for more than just a casual Web romp or music session. It can be pushed and then respond quite well.

So is it worth an upgrade over the 700p or 650? I think so. Most of those who have the 650/700p models who handle the 680/750 remark on how a device that isn’t (by the numbers) a lot smaller feels a lot smaller.

The price might be a turn off for some, but if you are using a 650 or 600 and looking for a reason to upgrade, the 755p is a good buy and will make for a solid mainstay in your mobile computing adventures.”

PC Mag - 5/12/2007 - has reviewed the Palm Treo 755p cell phone and writes, “Don’t get me wrong. The Palm Treo 755p is a good handheld. It’s easy to use, quick to respond, and has thousands of third-party programs available for it. But the competition is climbing fast. For instance, the new BlackBerry Curve for Cingular equals the Treo on ease of use and outmatches it on some aspects of media savvy. Also, Microsoft Windows Mobile devices come in a wide range of forms and provide an upgrade path that Palm OS may not have.”

Info Sync - 5/10/2007 - reviews the Palm Treo 755p cell phone and writes, “I wouldn’t recommend Palm Treo 700p owners drop their devices and run out to buy this phone, unless you have that kind of budget, but I would highly recommend this phone to anyone who has considered buying a Palm OS phone. An underrated OS that remains simple and straightforwared, Palm didn’t have to improve much to stay ahead of Windows Mobile, as WM6 is still playing catch-up to many features the Palm has had for months. Still, heavy competition looms, and we wonder if the lack of media features and GPS will keep this phone from being a contender. With fast networking and superior messaging, Palm has a lot to offer. Since we already own a Treo, though, we’re more interested to see what they come up with next.”

CNET - 5/9/2007 - reviews the Palm Treo 755p cell phone and writes, “Palm’s latest Treo, the 755p is really a sawed-off Treo 700p. Because the Treo 700p was a great PDA/phone, that will be plenty for most people, but there’s absolutely nothing cutting-edge about this new device.”

Mobile Burn - 5/9/2007 - has reviewed the Palm Treo 755p cell phone and writes, “Palm’s Treo line of smartphones has been popular for what seems like ages. While they haven’t changed much on the outside, save for the loss of the antenna, a string of refinements have been made over the years that have kept the devices reasonably current with modern technology. So while the Treo 755p doesn’t offer cutting edge technology in many regards, it is a very solid messaging device and good all-around phone. The user interface certainly is a bit long in the tooth by now, but it won’t get in the way of a determined Treo fan.

So thanks to a solid physical design, great messaging capabilities, and 3G data connectivity, I feel confident in giving the Palm Treo 755p a “Highly Recommended” rating. The Treo 680 is a similar device for GSM networks that has a VGA resolution camera instead of the 755p’s 1.3MP unit. For those out there that prefer the Windows Mobile platform, the 750 series devices are also worthy, though they have to make do with lower resolution displays.”
