Mobile Burn - 6/20/2007 - has reviewed the LG VX8700 cell phone and they write, “When we first saw the VX8700 at this year’s CTIA show in Orlando, we were immediately smitten. Its eye catching looks and attractive design were something I gravitated towards. After sitting down and actually using the device, I have also learned that this stylishly designed handset has some brains as well. The VX8700 is a solid all purpose handset that has a great feature set under its slick and shiny belt. Springboarding off of the LG Shine, this sleek folder for Verizon Wireless has won me over, and with that I give the LG VX8700 a “Highly Recommended” rating.”

Lets Talk - 5/22/2007 - has reviewed the LG VX8700 cell phone and they write, “What’s thin, supershiny, and ultrastylish? No, it’s not one of the silver Razrs. It’s the LG VX8700. This cell phone is definitely a looker, and its beauty isn’t limited to its exterior. Flip open the phone and you’ll see a bright, gorgeous display. The cell phone also sports many of the latest features: a 2-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, and (of course) a music player. However, if you want to listen to music on this cell phone, you’ll need a separate headset and probably an external MicroSD media card to store more songs than the VX8700’s limited internal memory can hold. But if you want a good-looking phone with stellar battery life and music isn’t your primary concern, check out the LG VX8700.”

MobileTechReviews - 4/30/2007 - has reviewed the LG VX8700 cell phone and they write, “LG marries fashion and function with the VX8700. The phone is stunning, slim and easily pocketed and it has a good camera, great call quality, good Bluetooth performance including A2DP and good overall response times. In terms of both features and looks, it’s serious competition for the Motorola RAZR maxx. We like most everything about this phone lots: a better than average camera, nice video recording quality, strong gaming performance, a very good display (though not quite up to the superb LG VX9400’s) and a strong Bluetooth implementation. Our only two dings are the inconvenient microSD card location and the flat keypad/d-pad.”

CNET - 4/30/2007 - has reviewed the LG VX8700 cell phone and they write, “The LG VX8700 is a gorgeous phone with plenty of multimedia features that are sure to please if you can get past its design flaws. Also, the need to purchase additional accessories can be a pain.”

PCMag - 4/23/2007 - has reviewed the LG VX8700 cell phone and they write, “The LG VX8700 has all the ingredients of a successful consumer phone: good-enough performance, great looks, and a camera that you’d actually want to take pictures with. But at $229.99 ($179.99 with rebate), it’s one of Verizon’s most expensive phones right now. I prefer to think of it as paying $50 more to get a better camera than the VX8600’s, which is reasonable.”

LapTopMag - 4/23/2007 - has reviewed the LG VX8700 cell phone and they write, “The lower-priced LG VX8600 is still our favorite bang-for-your-buck V CAST phone, but the VX8700 is worth $50 more for those looking for a combination of high style and substance. The 2-MP camera also helps justify the premium. Although some may balk at the lack of media controls and the internal memory card slot, we recommend this sleek silver clamshell for those who have the means.”
