PC Magazine - 6/11/2007 - has reviewed the LG Prada and they write, “The Prada is an acceptable but not excellent voice phone. I tried it on the Cingular network, though as a 900/1800/1900 MHz phone it works better on T-Mobile. Reception on Cingular’s network was mediocre. Voices through the earpiece were smooth and well-rounded, but didn’t get very loud; the speakerphone was quiet, with a bit of a buzz at top volume. The Prada supports Bluetooth mono and stereo headsets and worked fine with my Plantronics Pulsar 590, though there’s no voice dialing at all.”

I view it as something we might look back upon in 15 years and muse to ourselves “Ah yes, that’s where it started.” I also genuinely enjoy using it…most of the time. A device like this demands as much from its user as the user does from the device. Compromises have to be made. You want to look like a rock star out on the town with your entourage? This is the phone you need. It won’t be cheap. It might not be easy to live with, either. But there is something about it that makes you put up with its deficiencies. It is the price the KE850 exacts from its owner for making them look good. But if you ever wanted to be, or date, a super model, this Prada designed handset from LG could be the next best thing.”

Almost everything about it is made as simple as it can get, while at the same time it is a revolutionary step as compared to joystick or D-pad operated handsets.

CNET - 5/23/2007 - has tested the LG Prada and they write, “While the LG Prada is a gorgeous phone with a stunning touch screen display, its simple feature set may not justify its hefty price tag. That said, if you want one of the most fashionable phones available, the LG Prada is definitely the phone to get.”
Trusted Reviews - 5/22/2007 - has tested the LG Prada and they write, “I want to say ‘eat your heart out Apple, this is one in the eye for the iPhone’. And indeed LG and Prada have come up with a touch screen interface for a mid-range phone that actually works quite well and is available today. But the silver plasticy parts are a disaster for a phone that wants to look cool, the camera is poor, and I’m sure the casing won’t be scratch free for long.”
3G - 4/18/2007 - has reviewed the LG Prada cell phone and they write, “Sure, the phone will require a regular polish. You may even have to invest in a new black cloth from time to time. And the touch-screen operation is not totally infallible; a regular mobile keypad is much more responsive for entering texts and phone numbers.
However, this phone has the wow factor of the Chocolate and should appeal to those who like their fashion accessories to carry a label with kudos.
And while the touch-screen technology may cause you to occasionally choose the wrong menu option, it is essentially a fun and savvy way to navigate your phone.”
