  1. MobileBurn - 19 November’07 - reviews the Blackberry Curve and notes the addition of WiFi to the curve is a very good thing. Here’s an excerpt from their review -
“the RIM BlackBerry Curve 8320 and the T-Mobile @Home service work well together when your home/office and its WiFi network fit properly. You might still experience the random dropped call when leaving the house, but the vast majority of time the system works very well. But if your home or office layout is a little bit more complex, as ours is, then you have to be prepared to deal with some limitations.”

  2. IT Reviews - 7/19/2007 - reviews the BlackBerry Curve and writes, “It’s a shame there is no Wi-Fi and that the quad-band Curve is not 3G, but these things aside the BlackBerry Curve is a well featured and versatile device.”

  3. Brighthand - 6/22/2007 - reviews the BlackBerry Curve and writes, “Overall I was greatly impressed by the Curve. While it lacks some features that young consumers have come to expect in smartphones, the Curve is arguably the best blend of the business-oriented BlackBerry and a multimedia player to date. The rugged construction combined with ease of use make the 8300 an ideal purchase for anyone looking for their first BlackBerry. Likewise, working professionals can upgrade to a smartphone that offers a little more fun.

If you can overlook the poor web browser, lack of video camera, and horrible location of the microSD slot, the Curve might still be one of the best smartphones currently on the market.”

  4. Webuser - 6/19/2007 - reviews the BlackBerry Curve cell phone and they write, “This is a small, compact smartphone that fits plenty of useful tricks into its case. Email addicts won’t be able to get enough of it, but those looking for something to browse the web with might find it disappointing – it’s no better than any other option with a reasonably sized screen. If all you really want is email on the move then it’s a useful device, though you may baulk at having to pay a premium for its less exciting features, like the distinctly average camera.”

  5. InfoSync - 6/14/2007 - reviews the BlackBerry Curve cell phone and they write, “It’s no wonder that in the weeks leading up to the iPhone’s release, we’re seeing a new category of “consumer” or “multimedia” smartphone peek its head out of the earth to look for its shadow. The Curve aims to bring the BlackBerry line to a more general audience, and to accomplish this RIM has improved the media player and, well, that’s about it. Aside from our lousy experience with the Roxio software, the inclusion of a 3.5mm headphone jack and stereo Bluetooth means that this could be a decent music phone. Otherwise, the Curve is still a BlackBerry, which is good for calls, e-mail, and other hardcore smartphone functions. Still, the aging interface and the heavily textual menus might scare away folks who don’t want to nitpick onscreen font sizes, or adjust network settings. Excellent battery life deserves high praise, but every BlackBerry has excellent battery life. We’re not sure if this is the one to win over the masses.”

  6. Reg Hardware - 5/21/2007 - reviews the BlackBerry Curve cell phone and they write, “The Curve is a well thought out consumer BlackBerry with a texting-friendly full QWERTY keyboard. Like its siblings, it still lags a little on the multimedia side of things, but it’s getting there. But it excels with email.”

  7. Pocket-lint - 5/19/2007 - reviews the BlackBerry Curve cell phone and they write, “The Curve is more of the same from BlackBerry and while it doesn’t push any boundaries - there is still no 3G or Wi-Fi support here, the new form factor is great for those looking for a small package but not wanting to sacrifice that QWERTY keyboard.

The improvement of the camera over the Pearl will appeal to those who like to snap the odd picture when they are out, but don’t buy this thinking the GPS will get you from A to Z.

Overall though - we like it, like it a lot.”

  8. CNET - 5/5/2007 — has reviewed the BlackBerry Curve cell phone and they write, “Though it doesn’t bring Wi-Fi or 3G support, the BlackBerry Curve offers a best-of-breed design and a well-rounded set of features to make it an attractive device for consumers and mobile professionals alike.”

  9. LapTop - 5/3/2007 - has reviewed the BlackBerry Curve cell phone and they write, “The Curve’s biggest competition isn’t other BlackBerrys but the Samsung BlackJack, which currently costs only $149 with a mail-in rebate. The BlackJack’s 3G data connection is only a moderate advantage because of Windows Mobile’s slower browser, but its built-in camcorder and support for Cingular Video are definite pluses. On the other hand, the Curve offers a better e-mail experience, a sharper camera, and much longer battery life. Despite a few drawbacks, this is the best BlackBerry–and one of the most well-rounded smart phones–money can buy.”
