Xyzcomputing has reviewed the BlackBerry 8800 cell phone and they write, “It was no surprise that in the BlackBerry 8800 RIM delivered the ultimate mobile email machine. Despite all the competition nothing can touch the Blackberry and, with the 8800 as its flagship, the company is poised for continued success in the business market. The phone’s style, performance, and long list of features means that it will be very attractive to non-business users as well, though the choice is harder for these people as products like Samsung’s Blackjack can do email well and it throws in some of what the 8800 leaves out.
The 8800 still caters to business users but reflects a growing concern with user-friendliness thanks to the influence of the Pearl. This trend is one that will broaden the appeal of the Blackberry and make it possible to build the right phone for any user. The 8800 is quite high-end and still business-oriented but it is hard not to like it if you value its strengths. More casual users and those in need of a camera (as all as keyboard fanatics) may have to look elsewhere, but Blackberry’s core user group, as well a mobile email fans, will be impressed with the product.”
